Not just one, I went on 10 holidays.
From New York to Ebor, to Adelaide to the Sunshine Coast. I made it all happen this year.
A few years ago, I was struggling to even go on one holiday. I felt like I was so tapped out and wondering how everyone else on Instagram got to go on these family holidays all the time.
Turns out I didn’t need to remortgage the house in order to go on holidays. There were small changes I made to set boundaries around my work life and working hours. I worked on my own values and what kind of holidays I wanted to do. It felt like I had more time than ever to do the things I wanted – finish writing my book, surf, rollerskate and spend more relaxed time with my family.
People say to me, ‘I wish I could have your life’. But really, I’m pretty ordinary – husband, two kids, doing the school run.
However I am always looking for that “extra”. To not settle, to live an extraordinary life.
